Job Title: Controller (Bilingual English/Spanish) - CPA Required
Location: Montgomery
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Day
Pay Range: $115,000 annually

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Controller to lead and manage all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions for our growing organization. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial controls, and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
This position plays a critical role in supporting executive decision-making through accurate financial reporting, strategic analysis, and effective management of accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and operational improvement projects.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for ownership and senior management.
  • Communicate financial information effectively with English-speaking and Spanish-speaking stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing accounting teams and financial operations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA).
