Corporate Controller
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, globally connected organization to identify a Corporate Controller in the North Houston area. This is a high-impact leadership role offering strong visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to help shape the finance function during a period of operational growth and transformation. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building processes, leading teams, and partnering cross-functionally to support business performance.
Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Controller role include:
• Own end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, close process, AP/AR oversight, and financial reporting
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities
• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment in alignment with GAAP and compliance requirements
• Partner with executive leadership and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Ensure proper accounting treatment associated with business transactions, perform technical accounting research and keep management abreast to standards
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and standardization across accounting functions
• Develop, mentor, and lead a multi-level accounting team while building bench strength for future growth
• Support strategic initiatives, including business transformation efforts and scalability of financial infrastructure
Primary qualifications include:
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership within a controllership function
• Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting in a multi-entity or complex operating environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP) and experience with internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Prior experience in manufacturing, product-based, or inventory-driven environments preferred
• Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and senior leadership to drive business outcomes
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to operate both strategically and tactically
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel; comfort working with evolving systems and processes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across functions
