What are the most common challenges faced by Controller Directors when overseeing multi-department financial operations?

Controller Directors often encounter challenges in ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple departments, especially when each may have its own processes and reporting standards. Balancing the need for strong internal controls with the flexibility required by various business units can also be demanding.
