Responsibilities
Controller responsibilities included but are not limited to:
A key member of the management team responsible for all accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and maintenance of accounting records and financial controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Responsible for preparation of the annual budget and establishment of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy and usefulness of the company's financial and operational results
  • Preparation of detailed monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Preparation of weekly financial estimates, budget-to-actual comparisons, KPI reports and other financial and operational analyses and reporting as requested
  • Monitor financial results and key performance indicators and identify, explain and develop solutions to improve overall performance
  • Preparation of annual budget in consultation with management team
  • Maintain and create journal entries in general ledger including all necessary reconciliations
  • Track and manage cash flow
  • Credit Care operations
  • Administer AR functions for the business
  • Administer AP function for the business insuring accurate coding of invoices and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts
  • Interface with Vendors as needed
  • Participate in new ERP systems project implementation
  • Coordinate the provision of information to the parent company
  • Participate in planning the objectives, methods and resources of short and long range financial operations of the company
  • Recommend policies and procedures relating to the financial and business practices of the company
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is an on-site position.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Controller position should possess the following:
  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent in experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting position is required, preferably in a direct marketing-driven environment. General ledger experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial presentations and provide modeling analysis
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power-Point)
  • ERP implementation experience is preferred
  • Excellent strategic thinking and evaluation skills
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent project/program management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build successful relationships within the team and across the parent company organization
  • Ability to effectively present information to an individual or group, both written and verbally.
