Job Responsibilities:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A four-year degree with a minimum of 5 years experience with progressive supervisory responsibility in a related field is required. Must be experienced with computerized accounting systems and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibility:

Prepare plant monthly and annual financial results in an accurate and timely manner

Prepare analysis of financial and operating information as required

Prepare the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.

Optimize cash flow

Conduct internal auditing procedures

Participate in APQP and PDP events and complete assigned tasks as required.

Ensures that the principles of the Magna Employee Charter, the Corporate Constitution and Operational Principles are practiced, supported, and reinforced. Responsible and accountable for the Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results.

Thoroughly train new associates, correct or commend associate's health and safety performance, and conduct adequate performance appraisals by evaluating an associate's safety performance.

Ensure a safety business plan is created and adequate funds are earmarked for safety related needs.

Conduct quarterly reviews of workers compensations costs.

Provide necessary information to safety rep to aid in lost time accidents and yearly reporting requirements.

Administers and ensures compliance with the Quality and Material Management System requirements as outlined in the policy manuals.

Other duties as assigned.


Authority:

Manage accounting department for the Louisville Seating facility.

Ensure that all accounting transactions are recorded in an effective and timely manner in accordance with GAAP

Ensure Management Controls are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404

Manage staff functions

Decision making power on PDP and APQP issues as assigned

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written skills required. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to management, employees, and corporate personnel.

BEHAVIOR STANDARDS: Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional overnight travel is required. Must be able to interface with all departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
