Summary

The Senior Control Tower Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation and logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers. This includes managing shipment schedules, tracking shipments, communicating with carriers and suppliers, and analyzing data to optimize transportation processes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage shipment schedules and coordinate transportation operations
  • Monitor shipments and provide updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate with carriers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and customer service, to ensure smooth transportation operations
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics operations, with a focus on control tower operations
  • Experience with international shipping and customs regulations is preferred

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems and other logistics software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus

For this position, the expected base pay range is $53,568 - $66,960 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
