Job description

The Camera Systems Engineering Group develops systems, calibration, and correction procedures to maintain high image quality over a wide range of use cases and component variation. Past projects have addressed, autofocus, image stabilization, position sensing, stereo imaging, special-case optimizations (low-light, high disturbance, etc), support of factory operations. The team is seeking an exceptional control systems engineer with broad skills to design and develop the next generation of camera technology.
Camera control-systems engineering involves systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and sensing systems, modeling dynamic systems, developing robust control strategies, design and construction of prototypes to guide development, definition of test procedures, and documentation of requirements and design considerations.
BS degree in Physics, ME, EE, ASE (Aero/Astro), CS, or Optical EngineeringExperience with control systems design for electro-mechanical systemsExperience with estimation strategies (e.g. Kalman filters)Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink for modeling simulation
MS/PhD in Physics, ME, EE, ASE (Aero/Astro), CS, or Optical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant industry experienceExperience with leading technical projects with small to medium teamsExperience with real-time control realizations like MCU, FPGA, RTOS, etc.Experience with inertial navigation sensors and/or sensor fusionExperience with one or more 3rd party controls instrumentation solutions (e.g. DSpace, Speedgoat, NI CRIO)Experience with SW development in C/C++, (i.e., version control, change review process, coding practices)
