Control Room Supervisor (CRS)
Location: Red Oak, TX
Position Overview
The Control Room Supervisor (CRS) is responsible for overseeing security operations within the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring the safety, security, and operational integrity of the facility. This role leads shift-based security activities, manages incident response, supports personnel oversight, and maintains compliance with established security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security camera systems and oversee operations within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Serve as a weather watcher by monitoring local conditions and communicating potential weather-related risks to decision-makers.
- Manage visitor processing using the DCAT Security Dashboard, including coordinating check-in operations during high-volume periods.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Conduct and document welfare checks using the incident management system (where applicable).
- Respond to and resolve security incidents during assigned shifts; serve as Incident Commander in the absence of senior leadership.
- Provide recommendations regarding disciplinary actions for security personnel when necessary.
- Ensure all shift personnel are in compliance with uniform standards and professional appearance requirements.
- Escalate personnel or payroll issues that cannot be resolved at the supervisory level.
- Identify staffing or security gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen the security program.
- Verify accuracy of reports, time stamps, and documentation completed by team members.
- Review patrol checklists, reports, journals, and logs for completeness and compliance.
- Conduct shift briefings to ensure proper communication of incidents and ongoing concerns.
- Ensure all scheduled security posts are staffed appropriately throughout the shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Prior experience in security operations, supervision, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and incident management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
- Experience with security systems, reporting tools, and incident management platforms is a plus.
Work Environment
- Based in a Security Operations Center with continuous monitoring responsibilities.
- Shift-based role, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
