TSMC Arizona is looking for a Security Industry Specialist to join our 5-nanometer Fab, located in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Security Control Center Operator, you will demonstrate a keen sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values - Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust. Responsibilities include completing an assessment of security risks, handling access control, documenting incidents at the facility, maintaining, and upgrading security equipment when applicable, and directing other security personnel to respond to security related issues when observed in the control center.
This position requires the management, assisting, and direction during shift operations using TSMC security personnel and contracted security personnel. This position requires the candidate to be physically active for the duration of their shift, sitting, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, and inside/ outside environments. TSMC Security Inudstry Specialists are responsible for providing security for the entire 1,200 acre campus and are tasked with a broad scope of responsibilities. TSMC AZ is an active and long-term construction project, with everchanging priorities, direction, and security needs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate the access control system (e.g., CCTV, Badging)
  • Monitor and record functional status of equipment.
  • Monitor site activities via CCTV or other surveillance systems.
  • Conduct the visual inspection of designated routes for critical areas and identified security issues.
  • Respond to intrusion alarms by communicating to team members on their activation and location.
  • Remotely control gates, doors, or other access points
  • Be vigilant for safety and security threats.
  • Effectively communicate via radio, with specific attention to the details of every activity during a security incident
  • Occasionally perform search, patrol, and inspections in accordance with the site security policy, procedures, and post orders
  • Participate in internal investigations.
  • Implement established emergency or security action plans
  • Communicate and coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies
  • Coordinate and direct emergency services personnel in the event of a site emergency (fire, medical, hazmat, security events etc.)
  • Control and issue keys and equipment (i.e., cameras, radios) following appropriate protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of security equipment
  • Maintain logbooks and registers.
  • Work with contract security personnel
  • Inspect the security perimeter to ensure a safe environment.
  • Audit the security equipment to ensure proper working order.
  • Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations
  • As specified by procedure and the site security plan, maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress and employee, contractor, and visitor entry
  • Other duties as defined by the Security Manager

Required:
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors degree, Bachelors degree preferred (no specific major required)
  • Experience in SOC or Industrial Security
