Job description

Ethnix Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Analyst to support inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within our food distribution warehouse. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts and audits, analyzing inventory trends, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements that support customer service and warehouse productivity.

The Inventory Control Analyst partners closely with Warehouse Operations, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality teams to ensure product availability, minimize inventory variances, support food safety compliance, and maintain cold chain integrity. This position plays a key role in driving inventory accuracy, reducing losses, and supporting the efficient flow of goods throughout the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions, audits, and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances.
  • Analyze inventory trends and generate reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Operations teams to support inventory forecasting and replenishment strategies.
  • Support food safety, quality assurance, and cold chain compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and warehouse efficiency.
  • Train warehouse associates on inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory movements using WMS, SAP, and other inventory management systems.
  • Assist with loss prevention initiatives and inventory accuracy programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous inventory control experience, preferably within food distribution, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using WMS, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and inventory management systems.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments including cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish a plusย
