Job description

SUMMARY
The Associate Financial Administrator I will play a key role in preparing and filing quarterly mutual fund reports in compliance with SEC, IRS, and GAAP reporting regulations, analyzing fund performance, expense budgeting, and board reporting for mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products serviced by Ultimus Fund Solutions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepares quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for assigned funds.
  • Prepares and maintains expense budgets and accruals, as needed, based upon contractual fee schedules and fiscal year projections.
  • Prepares and processes expense payment authorizations, as needed, for fund expenses.
  • Calculates standard monthly management fees and advisor waiver or reimbursements for each fund; distributes fee authorization to the appropriate party.
  • Utilizes fund performance tracking systems to monitor and review fund performance; distributes information to clients, as needed.
  • Compiles quarterly reports utilized by Trust's Board members.
  • Completes off-schedule projects and ad hoc reporting when needed.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Frequent communication with internal and external business partners.
  • Daily contact with the Financial Administration team regarding fund financial statements, reports, compliance, audits, etc.

May perform other duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • Experience in accounting or finance.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE
  • Financial services industry.
  • SEC Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, and 24f-2.
  • Stocks, bonds, options, and foreign securities and derivatives.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adobe Acrobat.
