Job description

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a highly organized, creative, and hands-on Retail Operations Manager to support and grow our retail business across our iconic resort destinations in Nantucket, Palm Beach and Aspen along with our online storefront.

*Position can be based in either Boston or Nantucket and involves travel

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and loves blending operations, merchandising, e-commerce, and brand storytelling.

As Retail Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day execution of retail initiatives across multiple luxury properties while helping shape a cohesive and elevated brand experience both in-store and online.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing retail operations across Nantucket, Palm Beach, Aspen, and e-commerce platforms
  • Coordinating seasonal store setups, merchandising refreshes, and inventory management
  • Maintaining and updating Shopify product listings, collections, imagery, and online merchandising
  • Supporting product launches, promotions, and retail marketing initiatives
  • Partnering with creative, marketing, social media, hotel operations, and finance teams
  • Coordinating with vendors, logistics partners, photographers, and external agencies
  • Assisting with photoshoots, creative productions, and special retail projects
  • Helping identify operational improvements that enhance retail performance and guest experience

We’re seeking someone who is equal parts organized operator and creative problem-solver.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, e-commerce, project management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills
  • Experience with Shopify and inventory management systems preferred
  • Background in luxury hospitality, retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands is a plus
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Willingness to travel seasonally to Nantucket and occasionally to Palm Beach and Aspen
