                                                                                   Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, financial performance, and successful execution of multiple construction and demolition projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role provides leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and project support staff while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements and company standards.

The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between Lindamood Inc., clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and executive leadership. This position is expected to proactively identify risks, develop solutions, mentor project teams, and drive operational excellence while maintaining exceptional client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management for multiple construction and demolition projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all contract documents, including plans, specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and project schedules.
  • Lead project planning, execution, and closeout while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Establish project objectives, budgets, schedules, policies, procedures, and performance expectations consistent with company goals.
  • Oversee and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project support personnel by providing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Estimating during project turnover and assist with project planning, budgeting, and execution strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead contract negotiations, change order negotiations, claims management, and resolution of contractual issues.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost controls to maximize project profitability.
  • Review project financial performance regularly and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure all assigned projects meet or exceed company profit margin expectations.
  • Monitor project schedules and resource allocation to ensure efficient execution and timely completion.
  • Direct Superintendents and field management teams to ensure projects are constructed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client-specific requirements.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule delays, budget impacts, and operational disruptions.
  • Review HeavyJob daily reports for all active projects and provide guidance to field leadership as needed.
  • Review project productivity, labor performance, equipment utilization, and production metrics.
  • Prepare and review monthly owner billings, cost reports, forecasts, and executive project summaries.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate billing, collections, subcontractor payments, and project financial reporting.
  • Participate in executive planning meetings, operational reviews, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing project management personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across all assigned projects.
  • Represent Lindamood Inc. professionally while fostering long-term client relationships and pursuing repeat business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive construction project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing large commercial, heavy civil, infrastructure, or demolition projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Experience managing project financials, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Experience with HeavyJob, HCSS, Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software is preferred.
