V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Logistics Specialist II to join our team! We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist II at the Indianapolis site. The individual will perform logistics support to a dedicated ship team responsible for the processing of end item deliverables. This position requires an in-depth understanding of contractual requirements in order to screen documentation to allow the ship team to create and deliver end item deliverables in a more efficient manner. Assist in producing documentation to obtain customer acceptance and to provide the necessary data to invoice the customer for billing. Responsibilities V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Logistics Specialist II to join our team! We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist II at the Indianapolis site. The individual will perform logistics support to a dedicated ship team responsible for the processing of end item deliverables. This position requires an in-depth understanding of contractual requirements in order to screen documentation to allow the ship team to create and deliver end item deliverables in a more efficient manner. Assist in producing documentation to obtain customer acceptance and to provide the necessary data to invoice the customer for billing. The documentation includes the DD250, an International Packing Sheet and/or a Domestic Packing Sheet. Position requires a high degree of accuracy. Erroneous data or failure to achieve objectives will have a serious effect upon the ability of V2X to meet customer delivery requirements and meet financial goals. Provides training to others. Position also includes cross functional duties within receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Description: The following is a sample of the various tasking required of the Logistics Specialist II. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position. • Demonstrate ability to interface with a wide variety of internal and external customers, peers, and management in order to deliver resolution in assigned areas. • Communicating in a tactful and diplomatic process in regards to assisting customers. • Able to make decisions with minimal supervision. • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office Suite (4 to 6 years). • Perform research and analysis in a variety of systems • Record and track shipment totals against contractual line items. • Resolve customer requirements for the delivery of contractual deliverables • Work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking work environment. Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience utilizing SAP systems and planning of tasking. Experience: • Work experience in the core Logistics functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, and Delivery. • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking work environment. • Demonstrated ability to interface with a wide variety of internal and external customers, peers, and management in order to deliver resolution in assigned areas. • Successful experience with being tactful and diplomatic in regards to assisting customers • Decision making responsibility with minimal supervision. • 4 to 6 years of intermediate knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to perform research and analysis in a variety of systems • Ability record and track shipment totals against contractual line items. • Ability to resolve customer requirements for the delivery of contractual deliverables • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to learning new job responsibilities and tasks • Knowledge of Logistics practices • Knowledge of SAP applications including Horizon, Prism and Apex • APEX/Prism Shipping processes • Knowledge of DFARS Appendix F • Knowledge and functionality of Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) Skills & Technology Used: • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must. Required: • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Qualifications Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma. Experience: 2 years work experience in the core Logistics functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, and Delivery. Ability to read, write and comprehend written or verbal instructions. Ability to lift weight in accordance with current OSHA, Bureau of Labor Standards, and V2X recommendations and guidelines. Skills & Technology Used: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must. Required: Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
