Job description

Company Description

Kingsley Szamet Employment Lawyers is a California-based law firm focused exclusively on representing employees rather than corporations. Founded in 1980 and based in Los Angeles, the firm serves clients across the state in cases involving unpaid wages, overtime violations, unsafe working conditions, retaliation, and discrimination. Over more than five decades, the legal team has built a strong reputation for achieving results and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for workers whose rights were violated. The firm is known for combining experience, strategic advocacy, and compassion to help individuals stand up to employers and enforce workplace protections. With multiple information resources and accessible phone lines, Kingsley Szamet offers comprehensive legal support to workers throughout California.

Role Description

The Fractional CMO will lead the firmโ€™s overall marketing strategy and execution, working in a fractional (part-time) capacity. We will consider a hybrid or fully-remote applicant. This role includes developing and refining integrated marketing plans that support firm growth, brand positioning, and client acquisition across California. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing market research, defining target segments, focusing on AI visibility, and aligning marketing initiatives with the firmโ€™s practice areas and business objectives. The Fractional CMO will manage marketing campaigns, public relations efforts, and digital presence, including website content and social media, to enhance visibility among workers seeking legal representation. The role also involves collaborating with attorneys and staff to create consistent messaging, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing campaigns to drive inquiries and consultations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Market Planning and Marketing Management to design and implement comprehensive, results-oriented marketing strategies.

  • Strong Market Research capabilities to analyze client needs, competitive landscape, and opportunities in the employment law sector.

  • Proficiency in Public Relations to build and maintain the firmโ€™s reputation, manage media outreach and social media, and support thought leadership initiatives.

  • Experience with Sales and business development activities to support lead generation, intake pipelines, and conversion of inquiries to clients.

  • Prior experience in professional services or law firm marketing is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff, and communicate clearly across diverse audiences.

  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills, familiarity with marketing analytics tools, and a focus on measurable outcomes.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
