Coastal Engineering is a specialized marine construction firm delivering complex, high-quality waterfront and underwater infrastructure projects along the East Coast. Our capabilities include piers, bulkheads, dams, bridges, dredging, and other critical marine structures. The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for executing engineering and marine projects from kickoff through closeout. This role supports construction operations while generating external revenue through Construction Quality Management (CQM), QA/QC, inspections, and construction engineering services. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and client engagement to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering and marine projects from proposal through execution and closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule requirements
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and overall financial performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage risk, compliance, and project deliverables to meet contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Support construction operations through CQM, QA/QC, inspection, and construction engineering services
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, and technical deliverables
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to leadership and clients
  • Mentor and develop engineers and project coordinators
  • Willingness to spend time in the field supporting active projects as needed 


Requirements

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

8-12 years of experience managing engineering projects.

Strong leadership and client management skills.

Experience with marine or dredging projects preferred.

PE license preferred.
