Job description
You will be the Design Engineer / Checker - Level 3 for the Build to Package Verification Process and Compliance team which is responsible for ensuring the integrity, completeness, and compliance of F35 engineering designs and 3D models.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Design Engineer / Checker - Level 3 you will be responsible for acting as a critical quality gate, reviewing designs, verifying geometry, and confirming that deliverables meet contractual, company, and program requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluate F35 designs and 3D models for compliance with specifications, standards, and downstream needs.
- Apply GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5) and ensure drawings follow ASME Y14.100.
- Perform modelcentric verification, confirming full definition, FSDA compliance, and readiness for downstream processes.
- Generate concise check reports, nonconformance reports, and maintain traceability matrices.
- Collaborate with design engineers, configuration managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.
