Job Title: On-Premise Workforce Manager
Job Description
The On-Premise Workforce Manager oversees the day-to-day management of a large contingent workforce within a client facility. This role serves as the primary onsite liaison between the client, contract employees, recruiting teams, and internal stakeholders. The On-Premise Workforce Manager ensures staffing levels meet operational needs, monitors performance and workforce trends, addresses challenges proactively, and consistently delivers an exceptional service experience to the client. The position is well-suited for a professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments and brings strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and workforce planning capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a contingent workforce ranging from approximately 25 to more than 500 employees within a client facility.
- Monitor attendance, turnover, productivity, and workforce trends to ensure staffing stability and performance.
- Conduct employee coaching, counseling, and corrective action as needed to support performance and adherence to expectations.
- Ensure compliance with client policies, procedures, and workforce guidelines at all times.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientations, and site-specific training to ensure workers are prepared and compliant before starting assignments.
- Partner closely with recruiting teams to ensure all staffing needs are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Forecast upcoming hiring demands and clearly communicate workforce needs to recruiting and internal stakeholders.
- Review candidate qualifications and provide final hiring recommendations based on client requirements and operational needs.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in job fairs, referral programs, and local networking activities.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for client leadership regarding workforce matters.
- Conduct regular meetings with client leadership and internal teams to review workforce performance, hiring needs, and operational challenges.
- Proactively identify workforce issues and implement solutions to improve engagement, retention, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate workforce records and documentation related to attendance, performance, onboarding, and compliance.
Essential Skills
- 3–5+ years of workforce management, staffing, operations, or employee relations experience.
- Supervisory skills with demonstrated experience leading and managing hourly workforces.
- Experience managing large hourly workforces, highly preferred.
- Background supporting manufacturing, logistics, distribution, food production, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments, preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day workforce operations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with client leadership, employees, recruiting teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to address workforce challenges proactively.
- Workforce planning skills, including forecasting hiring needs and aligning staffing levels with operational demand.
- Ability to coach, counsel, and provide corrective action in a fair and consistent manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, food production, pharmaceutical, or industrial setting.
- Comfort working in non-climate-controlled environments.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
