Job Title
Adjunct Faculty - CIS, Data Science, Cybersecurity & Health Informatics
Position Purpose
Teaches college-level courses in the fields of computer, cybersecurity, health informatics, and information sciences. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading classroom discussions, and grading labs, and examinations. Classes run once once or twice a week for 7-week and 14-week terms on campus in Henniker, NH, and online in 7-week and 15-week formats with weekend in-person residency teaching opportunities.
Essential Duties Summary
Provides undergraduate and graduate instruction at the college-level on a wide range of computer science, cybersecurity, health informatics, and computer information courses. Coding in Java is a must. Other courses include:
Undergraduate Level - Object-Oriented Programming; Website Design; Digital Media Marketing; IT System Components; Information Systems in Organizations; System Analysis & Design; Cybersecurity Foundations & Principles; CompTIA Fundamentals; Policy, Legal, Ethics & Compliance
Graduate Level - Python Programming; Web Programming with PHP/MySQL; Database Design; Database Management; Information Visualization; Network Communications; Security; Project Management; Cloud Computing; Data Mining; Health Informatics
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Cybersecurity or Master's Degree plus 5 years of professional experience in a related field;
โ€ข Teaching experience at the college level or professional training experience required;
โ€ข Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and to work closely with faculty and staff in a small college environment.
