Job description

About the Role:

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. This Quality Engineer will lead efforts in to ensures compliance with ISO and IATF relevant standards, contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality engineering.
  • Proven experience with ISO and IATF standards and quality management systems.
  • Proven experience with formal auditing
  • Strong knowledge and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Strong knowledge of the APQP process
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and supplier quality management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Certified or accredited auditor
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Control Plan development.
  • Advanced skills in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone diagrams, or FMEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update quality documentation including Control Plans, inspection reports, and quality system records in compliance with ISO and IATF
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and facilitating audit activities.
  • Able to create and lead CAR's related to auditable items
  • Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to verify product conformance to design specifications.
  • Review Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Review First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify product design and manufacturing processes meet specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
