Position Description
Job Summary:
The Project Manager/Estimator prepares budget costs for precast/prestressed concrete products by studying preliminary plans and specifications. The Project Manager/Estimator will also develop accurate estimates and take-offs for all types of precast/prestressed concrete products in bridge and commercial markets based upon pre-cons, project meetings, plans, and specifications. Additionally, the Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for project coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, purchase orders, change order pricing, submittals, scheduling, and transportation coordination.
Job Duties:
  • Meet with preconstruction and project team members to comprehend the scope of assigned projects.
  • Develop complete and accurate take offs and estimates.
  • Have reports available and on time to allow for bid preparation.
  • Utilize knowledge of precast/prestressed concrete fabrication to prepare sufficient bids.
  • Attend required meetings with general manager, senior estimators, project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
  • Manage shop drawings and other required project submittals.
  • Provide production plant all information, schedules, and materials required for the fabrication of precast/prestressed concrete products.
  • Compile daily and weekly progress reports for contractors.
  • Manage transportation of precast/prestressed concrete products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with estimating/spreadsheet software.
  • Great attention to detail is imperative.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • High school diploma required.
  • College degree of relevant course work preferred.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license.
