Ahern is seeking qualified applicants for the Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship program to work within the Rochester, MN area. This is a 5-year apprenticeship program working side-by-side with a journeymen sprinkler fitter installing automatic fire protection systems. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement. Apprentices will complete on-the-job training and 5 years of corresponding coursework toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, a Journeyman earns over double the apprentice hourly rate!

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma or equivalent, have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles, have year-round employment in a stable company with a great safety record, and pass an appropriate drug screen and physical (the job entails a great deal of lifting and climbing). Successful candidates must be self-starters, have a strong mechanical background, have a good working and learning attitude, and be able to work in a fast-paced construction environment (both in and outdoors).

Screening Requirements: Drug screen, background check, physical, and reference checks.
