Job title : Panel Designer and Technician
Client : Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration : Full Time
Location : Lake City, MN
Job Description:
  • Using AutoCAD Electrical, prepare electrical schematics from I/O list and part list assuring completeness and accuracy.
  • In addition, perform lay out, assembly and wiring of electrical panels.
  • Assist in debugging and installation of machine and/or process control systems.

Primary Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Draw electrical schematics using proper design practices
  • Prepare parts lists, bills of material and order parts
  • Lay out and wire electrical panels according to schematics and customer specifications
  • Create wire lists, wire bundles and label using good workmanship practices
  • Perform basic testing of electrical systems.
  • Special assignments as requested
  • Working knowledge of NFPA, NEC and UL codes. Will provide UL 508A training.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork Expectations

Qualifications:
  • A 2 year degree in electronics, electricity or related area, or at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience with PC-based software such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to draw electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical software.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD Inventor for back panel and enclosure layouts.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD 3D
  • Experience in machine wiring and panel wiring/layout.
  • Experience using powered hand tools and electrical instruments including soldering iron, voltmeters, drills, saws, etc.
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities for design, installation and service-related activities.

Physical Demands
  • Extended hours sitting and viewing a computer screen.
  • Frequent repetitive hand/wrist movements.
  • Frequent walking, bending, squatting, reaching and lifting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of parts up to 50 pounds waist high.

Experience:
  • AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)
  • AutoCAD Electrical: 1 year (Required)
