Job description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the sourcing and procurement activities for specific Professional Services categories within AGCO's North American region. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, identifying, and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings and process improvements. The Regional Category Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams while establishing strong stakeholder relationship to ensure the best-in class execution of category priorities..
Your Impact
  • Initiate and manage complex sourcing projects for Professional Services categories including but not limited to Consulting, Legal, Financial Services, Corporate Insurance, Translation services, Business Process Outsourcing and Subcontracting services, Memberships.
  • Work closely with the senior managers of the related business units, the Global Category Manager and the Category Buyers to define strategies and initiate sourcing projects.
  • Understand and match procurement and business strategies to find the best sourcing opportunities, help to develop and improve Professional Services Main category (nest strategies, processes or new way of working).
  • Will work with Indirect Procurement tools e.g. Sourcing Pipeline, e-Sourcing tool and reporting tools to gain visibility on spend, create status updates and business cases.
  • Manage negotiations and complex regional tenders (RFP, RFQ, RFI) self-drive. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategies.

Your Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field or Equivalent Relevant Experience.
  • Required minimum 5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, preferably within the designated category field. Fluency in English (both written and verbal). Excellent MS Excel skills and general IT literacy.
  • Strong knowledge of category-specific sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze spend data, conduct market research, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and regional environment, collaborating with stakeholders across different departments. Strong business acumen, strategic thinking.
