Clearance: U.S. Government Security Clearance Required Develop Advanced Test Systems for Mission-Critical Technology Legion Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III - Test Equipment to support one of the nation's premier aerospace and defense technology organizations at its Tucson, Arizona facility. This hands-on role supports the full lifecycle of test system development-from design and integration through troubleshooting and production deployment. You'll work with modern test instrumentation and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable test solutions used in both engineering laboratories and production environments. What You'll Be Doing
* Design and integrate test system hardware, interface assemblies, cabling, and associated components.
* Develop engineering and production test solutions, including schematics and circuit analysis.
* Perform analog, digital, mixed-signal, and/or RF test system design and integration.
* Troubleshoot hardware, test instrumentation, and Factory Test Platform solutions.
* Support test products throughout design, integration, implementation, and deployment.
* Coordinate electrical design and integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
* Balance technical performance with project cost and schedule commitments.
* Independently investigate technical issues and collaborate with other disciplines to implement solutions. Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, OR an advanced STEM degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
* Experience with factory and/or laboratory electronic test instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, network analyzers, or similar equipment.
* Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics and troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation used in Factory Test Platform solutions.
* Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design at the subsystem or system level.
* Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools, including one or more of: * Creo Schematic * Mentor Capital * Altium * DX Designer
* Basic working knowledge of C, C++, and/or C#, sufficient to read and follow software code in support of electrical engineering activities.
* Knowledge of computer hardware interfaces and communication/data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, Ethernet, SPI, and CAN.
* Ability to work 100% onsite in Tucson, Arizona.
* Ability to meet applicable U.S. Government security requirements. Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience in the following areas is highly valued:
* Developing software to control test instrumentation using LabVIEW, SCPI commands, or similar technologies.
* Designing and integrating complete engineering or production test systems involving analog, digital, mixed-signal, and/or RF technologies.
