Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Chandler, AZ that is seeking a highly skilled Ground RAN Engineer to support the development and integration of next-generation wireless networks that bridge terrestrial and satellite communications. This role sits at the forefront of innovation, working within emerging architectures that align with evolving 3GPP standards and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). This is an opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge environment where new technologies are actively being built and operationalized.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and support Ground RAN systems in hybrid terrestrial and satellite network environments
* Collaborate on the integration of space-based and ground-based RAN components
* Work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to support deployment, testing, and optimization efforts
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple layers of the RAN stack
* Contribute to system validation, performance tuning, and ongoing network enhancements
* Partner with distributed teams to support deployment and operational readiness initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) engineering
* Proven ability to contribute in a production or near-production environment with minimal ramp-up time
* Strong understanding of wireless network architecture (LTE, 5G, or similar)
* Experience working in complex, multi-vendor or distributed telecom environments
* Solid troubleshooting skills across network, application, and infrastructure layers
Preferred/Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) or satellite communications
* Exposure to space-based RAN or satellite-to-cell integration
* Familiarity with advanced or evolving wireless standards (3GPP)
* Background in cloud-native or virtualized RAN environments
* Experience working on emerging or early-stage technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
