At Raytheon, the Effector RF Design Department is seeking talented engineers with the skills and passion to work on complex projects that shape antenna, radome, and antenna measurement system technology within the company. The selected candidate will be contributing to varied teams and executing tasks in various antenna and radome design life cycles. This is an entry-level antenna engineer position for an individual with educational experience and/or professional interest in the application of technical antenna principles, concepts, and techniques. A successful candidate is one with the skillset and passion required to solve complex engineering problems, properly apply engineering tools and processes, and leverage knowledge from previous coursework and projects. All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Candidates perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects and will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to shadow experienced professionals in order to learn about real industry positions.


What You Will Do:

  • Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.

  • Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.

  • Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers.

  • Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC) Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

  • Experience and/or coursework with RF and electromagnetic theory

  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work).

  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages

  • Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM

  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a variety of work and conflict resolution styles.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.


Salary

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.


Location and Availability

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
