Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Management System & Certification

  • Establish, implement, and document QMS processes aligned with API Q1 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Perform gap assessments and lead remediation efforts to achieve certification readiness.
  • Develop procedures, work instructions, records, and controls required for external audits.
  • Support internal audits, management reviews, and certification preparation activities.

Manufacturing Quality

Define and standardize manufacturing quality processes at the receiving facility, including inspection, control plans, nonconformance management, and corrective action (CAPA).

Support quality continuity and risk mitigation during plant relocation and startup.

Apply risk-based quality tools (e.g., FMEA, root cause analysis) to improve product and process reliability.

Supplier Quality

  • Establish supplier quality processes including supplier qualification, audits, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
  • Align supplier quality requirements with API Q1 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Implement supplier quality metrics to support risk management and continuous improvement.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and implement key quality and reliability KPIs.
  • Create reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into quality performance and trends.
  • Enable data driven decisions and continuous improvement practices.

Cross Functional Enablement

  • Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to deploy quality processes.
  • Train and coach employees on new quality procedures to ensure adoption and sustainability.
  • Transition ownership of processes to permanent staff at the conclusion of the contract.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Regular travel between Claremore, OK and Lufkin, TX required during the contract term.
  • Travel supports plant relocation activities, process alignment, and quality system deployment during consolidation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Reliability, or related field).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing API Q1 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing quality and supplier quality in industrial or energy-related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools (CAPA, FMEA, root cause analysis, audits).
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a short term, project-based contract role
