Paralegal / Legal Assistant, IP & Trademark | Regional Law Firm
LHH is assisting a respected regional law firm in its search for a Paralegal / Legal Assistant, IP & Trademark to support its active Intellectual Property Practice Group. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and partnering with attorneys on trademark, copyright, and intellectual property matters. The role supports multiple attorneys and plays a key part in managing client relationships and intellectual property portfolios.
Responsibilities
The Paralegal / Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Intellectual Property Practice Group, including:
  • Managing correspondence, agreements, contracts, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Drafting, revising, proofreading, and finalizing legal documentation.
  • Communicating directly with clients through phone, email, and meetings.
  • Maintaining organized electronic files and case records.
  • Conducting domestic and international trademark clearance searches.
  • Preparing and filing trademark applications, responses to office actions, Statements of Use, renewals, and maintenance filings with the USPTO.
  • Managing trademark prosecution matters from application through registration and post-registration maintenance.
  • Drafting trademark assignments and related intellectual property documents.
  • Coordinating with foreign counsel on international trademark filings.
  • Assisting with domain name registrations, renewals, docketing, and intellectual property enforcement efforts.
  • Managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and supporting administrative functions.

Candidate Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting trademark, copyright, intellectual property, or related legal matters.
    Experience preparing and filing trademark applications and related USPTO filings.

  • Ability to support multiple attorneys in a busy practice environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
