Job description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist to make a difference in student lives. This contract role is part-time for the 26/27 school year, offering approximately 14-15 hours per week on-site. You'll contribute your expertise as a key member of the preschool arena testing team, collaborating closely with an experienced speech-language pathologist and two diagnosticians. The role is based within a local elementary setting and does not require CPI certification.

Beginning between August 10 and August 17th, you'll play a pivotal role in arena evaluations, primarily supporting children turning three with a focus on autism assessments and other specific evaluation types as needs arise. Due to the specialized nature of the team’s work, caseload volume may vary but will consist of targeted, impactful evaluations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid and current state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience with early childhood and autism spectrum evaluations strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in collaborative, interdisciplinary work
  • Ability to communicate complex results to families and team members effectively
  • Previous experience within a school setting is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in comprehensive preschool arena evaluations, particularly for autism determination
  • Consult and collaborate with SLPs and diagnosticians during assessment processes
  • Provide expert input during team meetings and eligibility determinations
  • Communicate findings to staff and families
