Role Summary

We are seeking a Contract Manager to join our in-house legal team and support Flagship's enterprise operations. This individual will manage the full lifecycle of standard commercial agreements-drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts-with a focus on IT, SaaS, real estate, facilities, and services agreements that enable the Flagship enterprise to operate more efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have 4+ย years of relevantย contract managementย experience,ย proven ability to negotiate template-based agreementsย withย attorney oversight, andย strong familiarityย withย contract management systemsย andย cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of standard commercial agreements-including IT/SaaS agreements, real estate and facilities contracts, MSAs, SOWs, consulting agreements, and CDAs-from drafting through negotiation, execution, and renewal.
  • Draft and negotiate standard template-based agreements with attorney oversight; assess legal, financial, and operational risks and escalate non-standard terms to counsel as appropriate.
  • Use contract management tools to monitor workflows, track milestones, and ensure timely renewals or amendments; maintain repository accuracy and optimize CLM system processes.
  • Support cross-functional teams-including Finance, Procurement, IT, Facilities, and R&D-by advising on key contract terms such as indemnities, confidentiality, service levels, and liabilities, with attorney oversight for non-standard terms.
  • Track and monitor key contract milestones, deliverables, and compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline contract processes, improve efficiency, and enhance enterprise operations.
  • Provide guidance to internal partners on contract submission practices and standard language.
  • Generate data-driven insights from contract analytics to improve reporting, decision-making, and operational performance; assist Contracts Administrators with contract entry as necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience managing contracts, including drafting and negotiating standard commercial agreements.
  • Experience utilizing contract management tools to automate workflows, track contract milestones, and ensure timely renewals; familiarity with AI-powered tools for document review, redlining, and finalization.
  • Familiarity with key legal and regulatory issues affecting contracts, such as confidentiality, indemnification, liability, and data privacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Prior experience managing a high volume of contracts with various stakeholders under tight timelines.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven.

The salary range for this role is $108,000 - $148,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Flagship Pioneering currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits. Compensation and benefits information is based on Flagship Pioneering's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
