Job description

Position Title: Research/Data Analyst Senior

Location: Atlanta, GA 30334

Engagement Type: Contract

Work Mode: Remote (On-site interview and Day 1 equipment pickup required)

Duration: December 8, 2025 – June 30, 2026 (approximately 7 months)

Interview Type: In Person Only

Role Overview:

This senior-level research and data analyst position supports complex statistical, financial, and operational data analysis for management decision-making. The role involves extracting and analyzing data from organizational databases, creating reports and dashboards, overseeing research projects, and providing strategic insights to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from Oracle databases using SQL and perform statistical analysis to support ongoing reporting needs

  • Identify, compile, and clean data for research projects while analyzing trends and patterns in complex datasets

  • Oversee evaluation and research projects, communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders, and prepare results for publication

  • Develop data visualization dashboards using Tableau and manage internal and external data requests

  • Collaborate with external research partners and provide guidance to junior team members

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years of experience with reporting packages (Business Objects), databases (SQL, Oracle), and programming (XML, Javascript, ETL frameworks)

  • 3 years of experience accessing and extracting data from organizational or institutional databases

  • 3 years of proficiency in queries, report writing, and presenting findings

  • 1 year of strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years in a lead/supervisory role OR Associate's degree with 4 years of related experience (2 in lead/supervisory role) OR 2 years as IT Business Analyst or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

  • 2 years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data Management/Analysis

  • 1 year of experience with data visualization software (Tableau)
