Job description

DOMO Engineering Plastics US, LLC is looking to hire a Material Handler for our AM (7am - 7pm) shift

*Continental schedule: rotates Sun/Wed/Thurs then Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.*

Responsible for all warehouse related transactions: material stores, materials movements, materials inventory, inbound/outbound materials shipments, product labelling, rf scanning, etc. – while promoting worksite safety and operations efficiency.

Summary of Major Responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks)

  • Understands and adheres to all DOMO Company policies and procedures.
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and various packaging tools
  • Understands and follows correct process of rf scanners and software system.
  • Understands difference in material types (i.e. raw materials vs. finished goods, blends, 1st choice vs. 2nd choice, waste, etc.).
  • Ensures materials and products are accurately labelled and scanned immediately to ensure material traceability.
  • Understands receiving process: raw materials, packaging and supplies, customer returns, miscellaneous packages, etc.
  • Understands shipping process: customer orders, returns, material transfers, miscellaneous shipments, etc.
  • Ensures inventory adjustments, as needed, are accurately and promptly processed when performing movements
  • Performs inventory and cycle counts as needed or as scheduled
  • Ensures movement of trash, pallets, recyclables, etc. is performed in a timely fashion
  • Ensures the warehouse, staging zones, and other common areas are prepared and clean for the next shift (sweeping, cleaning, wipe-downs, garbage, etc).
  • Communicates with team members and management to address any need for improvement.
  • Provides daily information for shift notes, problems encountered, corrective actions taken, etc.
  • Works with in and promotes team environment.

Education

  • Required: High School or Equivalent

Experience

  • Required: 2 years warehouse/forklift experience
  • Preferred: 2 years warehouse/forklift experience in manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be prepared to work** mandatory overtime, including some weekends** when required.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Ability to operate rf scanner
  • Flexibility, the willingness to look beyond the job description and assist in doing what must be done in a growing company.
  • Ability to work in a positive and productive team environment.
  • Ability to understand basic math.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must be dependable, with good attendance record.
  • Must be able to lift heavy material (up to 50lbs) and handle physical effort.
  • Must have good communication skills and the assertiveness to keep on top of documentation requirement.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
