Job description

Job Summary:
ASSA ABLOY Group is a global leader in access solutions, and they are seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to help design and build modern, user-focused web applications. The role involves applying frontend best practices and collaborating with a full-stack team to deliver high-quality user experiences from MVP through full production.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular 17+ (preferred), TypeScript, RxJS and component-driven frontend architecture.
• Translate UX designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and data flows
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including state management and component design
• Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and reliability
• Support the transition of MVPs and prototypes into production‑ready frontend applications
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation
• Continuously improve UI performance, usability, and maintainability
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of professional frontend software development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
• Proven experience supporting a product from MVP or prototype through production release
• Strong attention to UI quality, usability, and performance
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional product teams
Preferred:
• Experience working in enterprise development environments
• Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to design systems or component libraries
• Experience with data‑driven or ML‑enabled user interfaces
• Backend familiarity (Node.js or API design concepts)
