SNI Technology is partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing organization to hire a Lead Software Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hands-on engineering leader who enjoys writing production code while guiding technical direction, mentoring developers, and improving engineering processes.

What You'll Do
  • Lead engineering efforts for a mission-critical SaaS application and related software platforms.
  • Take ownership of an existing codebase by evaluating its current state, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving enhancements.
  • Build, review, and deploy production-quality code on a daily basis.
  • Stabilize existing features while reducing technical debt and improving application performance.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to prioritize roadmap initiatives and deliver new functionality.
  • Establish predictable release cycles and improve software delivery processes.
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture, design decisions, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor and lead a team of developers, including distributed and offshore resources.
  • Drive improvements in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, documentation, and change management.
  • Champion code quality, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Communicate technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years serving in a Lead or Senior Engineering capacity.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with:
    • React

  • Proven experience taking ownership of existing applications and improving legacy or in-progress codebases.
  • Experience establishing or improving SDLC processes within a growing engineering organization.
  • Strong understanding of version control, CI/CD, code reviews, testing practices, and deployment workflows.
  • Experience leading or mentoring software development teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software in fast-paced product environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting software development within SOC 2 or other security/compliance-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices, access controls, audit logging, and change management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and building scalable distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Experience within PropTech, SaaS, or other product-driven organizations is a plus.
