What is contract software licensing?

Contract software licensing refers to the legal agreements that grant users the right to use software under specific terms and conditions. These contracts outline how the software can be used, any restrictions, payment obligations, and the duration of the license. Businesses and individuals often enter software licensing contracts to ensure compliance and protect intellectual property rights. Understanding these agreements helps prevent legal issues and ensures that software is used appropriately within an organization.
