Job description


The Security Professional is a critical member of Honeywell Aerospace Government Security Compliance (GSC), ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements for cleared industry. The selected candidate will assist the Facility Security Officer for a cleared facility with safeguarding capability, and will interface with Honeywell Aerospace, industry, and government representatives to clarify and interpret requirements and resolve security issues.
This position requires a security professional who must be able to operate independently, display excellent judgement and decision-making ability, and have a well-rounded understanding of industrial security and other security disciplines required to administer a compliant and effective security program.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Facility Security Officer for a cleared facility.
  • Interface with Subject Matter Expert (SME) for industrial, physical, operational, and personnel security at the assigned facility.
  • Coordinate with program managers, engineering staff, facility leadership, site security, and other personnel to deliver effective and compliant security services in support of national security programs.
  • Serve as security subject matter expert throughout the contract life cycle, advising on security considerations during RFP, award, extension, modification, and closeout phase.
  • Process and maintain records for classified contracts (DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification

Specification) held or conducted at the facility.
  • Under direction of the FSO, coordinate required security education for cleared employees, to include initial security briefings,annual refresher, caveat and other specialized training through an automated training system.
  • Under direction of the FSO, coordinate shipping and packaging of classified materials in accordance with government regulations
  • Maintain Honeywell Security Compliance Management System databases used for contracts management, facility metrics, classified inventory, compliance data, NIS Operations Compliance Center (NOCC) interface and training records.
  • Participate in various government security reviews, assist with conducting and documenting government-required self-inspections, and implement any corrective actions identified.
  • Assist with the development, construction, administration and government approval of Open Storage Areas and restricted areas in support of classified contracts.
  • Under direction of the FSO, assign and control access to closed and restricted areas through regular combination changes and maintenance of GSA-approved locks, security containers, and alarm systems.
  • Conduct and assist in formal investigations involving security violations, incidents, and possible orsuspected compromises of classified information.
  • Assist with reporting foreign visitors to the facility to government agencies and schedule debriefings, as required.
  • Assist with providing foreign travel briefings and debriefings, facilitate cleared employees with foreign travel reporting requirements.
  • Participate in various compliance standardization teams throughout the Government Security Compliance (GSC) organization.
  • Liaise with Export Compliance officers to ensure compliance with the TCP, EAR and ITAR regulations.
  • Serve as a member of professional security organization NCMS, represent Honeywell Aerospace in local chapter meetings.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 3 years of experience as an Industrial Security Professional, FSO or Assistant FSO.
  • Must be able to acquire and/or maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

  • Experience as COMSEC Manager or COMSEC Custodian.
  • Completion of CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) Course.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD security regulations and/or 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule
  • Educational background that includes a focus in security, compliance and/or criminal justice desired.
  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or other CDSE Professional Certification
  • DoD Security Manager's Course
