Job Overview

Bigge Crane & Rigging Co. is seeking a high-performing Texas Sales Manager to lead commercial growth initiatives throughout the Gulf Region. This role is responsible for driving revenue, developing strategic customer relationships, managing regional sales representatives, and serving as a key business partner to operations, service, engineering, and innovation teams.


The Texas Sales Manager will balance leadership and execution by coaching and developing a regional sales team while maintaining direct responsibility for business development, key account management, and strategic growth initiatives. This individual must possess strong commercial acumen, deep customer relationship skills, and the ability to align customer needs with Bigge's comprehensive lifting, transportation, engineering, and project solutions.

Success in this role requires a collaborative leader who can navigate complex industrial projects, leverage technology to improve performance, and drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional sales representatives across the Gulf Region.
  • Establish sales objectives, performance metrics, and accountability standards aligned with company growth goals.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, territory reviews, pipeline evaluations, and performance assessments.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of sales talent.
  • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, operational excellence, and customer service.


Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted industries including:
    • Petrochemical
    • Refining
    • LNG
    • Power Generation
    • Industrial Construction
    • Renewable Energy
    • Infrastructure
    • Manufacturing
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies that expand market share and increase revenue.
  • Build executive-level relationships with owners, EPC contractors, general contractors, industrial facilities, and strategic partners.
  • Represent Bigge at industry events, trade associations, customer meetings, and networking opportunities.


Strategic Account Management

  • Serve as executive sponsor and relationship manager for designated strategic accounts.
  • Develop account plans focused on revenue growth, retention, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership development.
  • Coordinate resources across operations, engineering, transportation, service, and project management teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Bigge's service offerings.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address performance concerns.


Operational Partnership

  • Collaborate daily with Operations, Service, Engineering, and Innovation teams to ensure alignment between customer commitments and operational execution.
  • Participate in project reviews, forecasting discussions, resource planning, and customer strategy meetings.
  • Support bid strategy development, project risk assessment, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure customer expectations are accurately communicated and executed throughout the project lifecycle.


Technology & Innovation

  • Champion the use of CRM systems, sales analytics, and digital tools to improve customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
  • Embrace emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other productivity solutions.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve prospecting, account planning, forecasting, proposal development, market intelligence, and team productivity.
  • Partner with Bigge's Innovation Group to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology adoption.
  • Drive a data-driven sales culture through pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and performance reporting.


Financial & Business Performance

  • Achieve regional revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility.
  • Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer demand to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Contribute to annual business planning and strategic growth initiatives.


Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience within crane services, light and heavy industrial services, manufacturing, heavy equipment rental, equipment rental, service-based industrial organizations, or related industries.
  • 3+ years of sales leadership or sales management experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience leading customer negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Strong understanding of industrial project environments and customer procurement processes.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Gulf Region as required.


Preferred

  • Experience supporting customers in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, LNG, power generation, manufacturing, industrial construction, infrastructure, or energy markets.
  • Knowledge of refinery, petrochemical, energy, and industrial construction markets.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with operations, field service, and project execution teams.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools and technologies to improve business performance and productivity.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar business technologies.
