Job description

Technical Project Manager - Contract or Temporary

Estimated to be 35 hours per week for 9 months


As a Contract Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellence for our clients by leading and facilitating complex technical migrations and implementations. This leadership position requires you to oversee large-scale, high-impact projects, ensuring their successful execution from initiation to completion. You will act as the central facilitator between clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely delivery while upholding Shaw/Scott's commitment to excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Provide project delivery leadership for complex marketing productions from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets
  • Define and manage project scope, deliverables, milestones and success criteria
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and RASCI matrix
  • Track project progress and communicate risks or roadblocks with solution recommendations proactively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, technical services, data engineering and external vendors to gather requirements and define project objectives
  • Act as primary point of contact between internal stakeholders, the client and third-party service providers
  • Oversee the technical aspects to assist in translating technical considerations and requirements (e.g. data mapping, platform configuration, ESP integrations)
  • Organize regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and facilitate ad hoc meetings to address these proactively
  • Review all key deliverables for client readiness
  • Facilitate training sessions for end-users to ensure a smooth transition


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management. Experience working in a consultancy agency environment strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of leading complex digital marketing projects, such as marketing technology implementations or migrations
  • Strong knowledge or experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred
  • Strong understanding of email marketing technologies, data integration processes, and marketing automation
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Click Up, Workfront, Air Table)
  • Solid technical knowledge of APIs, data schemas, and platform configurations
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred

Work Environment / Travel

This job operates in an all-remote work environment with infrequent travel to professional office settings and other events locally and nationally; some overnight travel may be expected.


Location

Preference is for candidates based in the Pacific time zone in order to better support West Coast clients.


Compensation

The compensation for this position is $75.00-$85.00 per hour. If you are hired at Shaw/Scott, your final hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.
