Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Concur Analyst to lead the reconfiguration and re-launch of our SAP Concur Travel & Expense platform. This is a hands-on implementation and optimization role focused on improving system configuration, simplifying user experience, and building internal capability.

Although our organization has utilized Concur for approximately seven years, we currently have limited in-house system expertise. The selected consultant will not only optimize the platform but also transfer knowledge to our internal team to ensure long-term sustainability.

Primary Objectives

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing the current Concur Travel & Expense configuration and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Reconfiguring the Concur environment to align with current business processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Leading a comprehensive re-launch of the Concur Travel & Expense program.
  • Simplifying and documenting system administration processes.
  • Developing governance and support documentation.
  • Providing hands-on knowledge transfer and training to designated internal resources.
  • Establishing internal competency so the organization can independently administer and maintain the platform following the engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the current SAP Concur configuration and overall system health.
  • Recommend and implement configuration improvements.
  • Configure Travel, Expense, approval workflows, expense policies, audit rules, user roles, and system settings.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to validate requirements.
  • Support testing, issue resolution, and production readiness.
  • Develop training materials, administrator guides, and end-user documentation.
  • Deliver administrator and end-user training sessions.
  • Create a transition plan to internal support resources before project completion.


Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and configuring SAP Concur Travel & Expense.
  • Experience leading Concur optimization or reimplementation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of travel and expense business processes.
  • Experience with workflow design, expense policies, audit rules, and system administration.
  • Excellent facilitation and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to train business users and system administrators.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Concur certification preferred.
  • Experience integrating Concur with ERP and financial systems.
  • Experience developing operational support documentation and governance models.
  • Consulting experience leading short-term transformation engagements.
