Beauty Sourcing Manager - Contract (Remote) 5-month contract, potential to extend. Fully remote (EST preferred). Pay: $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr (DOE). Base pay range $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Overview The Strategic Sourcing Manager will own global sourcing strategy for key categories (Contract Manufacturing, Packaging, and Raw Materials) to fuel this beauty brand's rapid growth. You'll optimize total cost of ownership, build a resilient and high‐performing supply base, and be a critical partner to Operations, R&D, and Finance. Responsibilities Build Smart Sourcing Strategies: Develop and execute global sourcing plans that hit cost, quality, and service targets. Use Market Intelligence: Stay on top of cost drivers, supply/demand shifts, and benchmarks to unlock new sourcing opportunities. Drive Cost & Value: Lead COGS reduction through sharp negotiations, value engineering, and alternative suppliers/materials. Own Supplier Selection: Run RFI/RFPs, assess capabilities and risk, and choose partners that can scale with the business. Negotiate & Contract: Secure best‐in‐class terms on pricing, capacity, service levels, and commercial protections. Grow Strategic Partnerships: Build long‐term relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure reliability and continuous improvement. Lead Sourcing for NPD: Partner with R&D, Packaging Engineering, and Operations to source components, model costs, and launch on time. Protect Supply: Work with Planning to anticipate risk, put dual‐sourcing or buffers in place, and safeguard launches and replenishment. Own Performance: Set and track KPIs (cost, AQL, OTIF), report results, and drive corrective actions. Ensure Compliance: Maintain GMP, cosmetic regulatory, and internal quality and ethical standards across the supply base. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field. 5–7+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain, ideally in Cosmetics or CPG industries. Proven success negotiating high‐value, complex contracts and managing global suppliers. Strong analytical skills with ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel. Track record of leading cross‐functional projects and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
