Join a high-impact implementation project as a Systems Test Engineer - Financial Systems & Royalties. In this role, you'll validate royalty calculations, ERP integrations, financial data flows, and end-to-end business processes across Rightsline, D365, and related systems. Ideal candidates have experience in QA, systems testing, UAT, financial systems validation, or royalty management and enjoy solving complex business and technical challenges. Remote opportunity with East Coast hours.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Systems Test Engineer - Financial Systems & Royalties (contract) validates the successful implementation, integration,
and ongoing operation of a royalties platform and related financial systems.

This role combines royalty and rights management subject matter expertise with exceptional technical
testing and systems analysis skills. The position will work closely with business stakeholders,
implementation partners, engineering teams, and finance to ensure accurate royalty calculations,
integrations, reporting, and operational workflows.

The ideal candidate has experience testing complex financial systems, royalties, Employee Resource
Planning (ERP) integrations, or contract-driven business processes in media, entertainment, or
distribution environments.
WORK EXPERIENCE:

Media, entertainment, distribution, or licensing industry experience preferred

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, regression testing, and end-to-end validation scenarios for royalty workflows.

    • Consolidator structures
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across Rightsline, Alliant, D365, and related systems.
  • Analyze configuration and business requirements to ensure accurate system setup and testing coverage.
  • Validate inbound/outbound integrations, API transactions, and financial data mappings.
  • Reconcile system outputs against legacy calculations and expected business results.
  • Support defect triage, issue resolution, and release validation activities.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation, traceability matrices, issue logs, and validation reports.
  • Collaborate with business users, finance, IT, and vendors throughout implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Support ongoing process improvement, automation, and operational support initiatives.
  • Serve as an independent validation resource during the Rightsline Alliant implementation by reviewing configurations, calculations, workflows, and testing outputs to ensure solutions are aligned with documented business requirements, financial expectations, and operational processes. This role will provide an additional layer of oversight and accountability throughout implementation and testing activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 35+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), systems testing, business systems analysis, or financial systems validation
  • Experience with software testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration,and UAT testing
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and data validation processes
  • Experience creating test documentation and validation materials
  • Experience with royalty systems, ERP systems, rights management platforms, or financial applications preferred
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments preferred
  • Media, entertainment, distribution, or licensing industry experience preferred

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting,Computer Science, or similar major, or equivalent related experience
