THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTE

Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by category, calculates future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis. Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems. Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within the project controls function. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of project controls to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff. Participates in the development of project controls strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures in estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.

Oversight/execution of all contract business operations including:

  • Interface with Contracting Officer, CO Representative, and Resource Analyst
  • Development/maintenance of and ensure compliance with business office processes/procedures
  • Contract administration, compliance, and interpretation
  • Development/reporting of customer deliverable financial products
  • Review and analysis of actual costs
  • Review and analysis of forecast
  • Approval of forecasting rates
  • Cost performance analysis/review or prepare monthly PSR package
  • Cost allocation/account assignment
  • Timesheet auditing/charging guidance
  • Supplemental pay verification
  • Periodic rate analysis
  • Supports annual task order development and pricing activities
  • Prepare and maintain FY Program revenue and profit projections
  • Perform contract margin analysis
  • Approve material procurement requisitions / resolve issues with vendors/invoicing/accruals etc.
  • Support internal/external audits
  • Supports contract compliance and interpretation activities
  • Ensure PM/DPM are well-informed of business-related activities/issues

Qualifications -

  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 7+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DOW FAR requirements
  • Knowledge of DOW Financial Reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Prior Managerial experience is a plus
