Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Program Management department as a Project Controls Specialist. As a Project Control Specialist, you will work on electric transmission line and substation capital projects by providing controls and support services, including cost control, budgeting, and data analytics. The Project Controls Specialist will help manage project costs and schedules, identify project progress, and enhance our internal analytics program.ย

Qualifications
  • 1 - 4 years of directly related experience in cost accounting, and/or project controls on engineering services and/or construction projects
  • Proficiency and knowledge of cost/planning/control and reporting techniques, specifically project accounting practices and use of financial systems (e.g., system input and reporting, invoicing and cash flow, revenue recognition, etc.)
  • Very proficient computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Acceptance that some travel may be required
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related discipline preferred
  • Experience in the utility industry preferred
