Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Private Process Server or Process Serving Agency to join our team as an independent contractor in Allegany/Garrett County, Maryland. This 1099 contract role offers flexible scheduling and weekly compensation based on completed jobs.

Location Requirement:
Applicants must reside in or currently serve within a 45-mile radius of Allegany/Garret County, Maryland.

We are flexible if you live near the border of Frederick, Carroll, or Garrett? 

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking dependable, detail-oriented professionals with experience in legal document delivery. Ideal candidates may include:

  • Licensed Private Investigators

  • Experienced Process Servers

  • Current or Former Law Enforcement Professionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make diligent service attempts:

    • Collections Files: Up to 5 attempts at varied times (morning, evening, weekend, etc.)

    • Non-Collections Files: 2 diligent attempts (morning and evening)

  • Activate cases within 24 hours of receiving documents (via FedEx or email)

  • Electronically sign all eligible affidavits within 48 hours of service

  • Use ProVest’s mobile applications to:

    • Upload photo evidence of addresses

    • Record service or non-service outcomes

    • Submit detailed attempt notes

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation

  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance

  • Smartphone capable of running mobile apps

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Professionalism, punctuality, and strong attention to detail
