Steel Process Operator - Dekalb, IL

5AM-3PM MONDAY-THURSDAY

Job Description

As a Steel Process Operator, you will process work orders within the Fabrication department and collaborate effectively with crew members to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Process sheet metal using various fabrication machines.
• Complete work orders on material to meet necessary quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the fabrication team.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma.
• 0-3 months of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Intermediate shop math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Experience in the steel industry.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, as well as machine operation and forklift handling.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing plant environment with typical exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with heavy machinery operations. The work hours are typically Monday through Thursday and may vary by department. The role requires flexibility for overtime, with potential changes in work hours at management's discretion with prior notice.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr.
