Job Title: General Laborer – Pressure Washing Hog Barns
Job Description

This role focuses on supporting a small, close‑knit team that travels daily from the main office to hog barn sites to perform thorough pressure washing and cleanup. You will help set up and operate pressure washing equipment, work with hand and power tools, and contribute to maintaining clean, safe farming facilities. The position is ideal for someone with general labor or farming experience who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a small crew.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the main office in either Cresco, IA or Leroy, MN each workday and travel with the team to assigned hog barn sites.
  • Assist with unloading, organizing, and setting up pressure washing equipment and related tools at each job site.
  • Perform pressure washing inside hog barns to clean and maintain facilities according to established standards and procedures.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support cleaning, minor maintenance, and related tasks.
  • Work as part of a small team to complete daily cleaning assignments efficiently and on schedule.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of pressure washing equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, vehicles, and work areas at the end of each shift.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about job progress, issues, or equipment needs.
  • Adapt to varying site conditions, including different barn layouts, surfaces such as concrete, and farming environments.
  • Be available for occasional voluntary weekend work when additional projects are scheduled.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of farming or general work experience in a physically demanding role.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Comfort working with hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Willingness to perform pressure washing in hog barns and similar farming environments.
  • Reliability in reporting to the main office daily and traveling with the team to job sites.
  • Basic understanding of general maintenance or production environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in small teams and follow directions from team leads.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ months of general maintenance, manufacturing, or construction-related experience is preferred.
  • Experience in farming, concrete work, construction, or solar-related projects is a plus.
  • Comfort working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new equipment and cleaning techniques.
  • Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude when working with teammates.
Why Work Here?

You join a small, family‑style company culture that values teamwork, reliability, and treating employees fairly. Drive time is paid, helping you maximize your earnings for the time you invest. You work on local projects, return home every night, and have the option—not the obligation—to pick up extra weekend hours. The environment emphasizes safety, support, and a close‑knit crew where your contributions are noticed.

Work Environment

You work in hog barns and farming facilities, often on concrete surfaces, and spend most of your day on your feet performing physical tasks. The role involves working outdoors and in the elements, as well as inside agricultural buildings, always as part of a small team. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 6:30 a.m. (or 7:00 a.m.) to 2:30 p.m., with occasional voluntary weekend work. Most job sites are within about 20 minutes of the main office and never more than an hour away, so you are home every night.
