About the Role:

The Powder Coater will play a crucial role in the finishing process of various construction products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and durability. This position involves applying powder coating to metal surfaces, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides protection against corrosion and wear. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to product specifications and quality assurance protocols throughout the coating process. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of product specifications and quality assurance processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in powder coating techniques.
• Experience with quality inspection and control methodologies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying pre-treatment as necessary.
• Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
• Conduct quality inspections of coated products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality control measures, reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any coating-related problems that may arise during the production process.

Skills:

The required skills in painting and powder coating are essential for executing the application process effectively, ensuring a smooth and even finish on all products. Knowledge of product specifications allows the Powder Coater to understand the requirements for each job, leading to higher quality outcomes. Physical Demands/Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an industrial electrician to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

• Lifting (Frequent): Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.

• Standing/Walking (Frequent): Required to stand or walk for long periods during the workday, often in confined or challenging environments.

• Bending and Stooping (Frequent): Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach overhead as part of daily duties when installing, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment.

• Climbing (Frequent): Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, or stairs and work at heights of up to 30 feet or more, using fall protection as required.

• Hand/Eye Coordination: Must have excellent hand-eye coordination for handling tools, wiring, and equipment with precision.

• Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, grasp, and manipulate electrical tools, components, and materials.

• Vision: Must have the ability to see and distinguish colors, read schematics, blueprints, and labels, and identify equipment faults and wiring issues.

• Stamina: Must have the physical stamina to work long shifts, including overtime or weekend work, if needed.

• Work Environment: Work may be performed in noisy, hot, cold, or humid environments and may require exposure to electrical hazards, confined spaces, or heights.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Frequent): Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, as dictated by safety standards.
