Job description

SUMMARY

The Powder Coater will be an integral part of our production team. This position is responsible for preparing,

coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating equipment and techniques to produce high-quality,

durable finishes that meet customer and company standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, media blasting, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces.
  • Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment to achieve consistent coverage and finish

quality.

  • Operate curing ovens and monitor temperatures and curing times to ensure proper coating adhesion.
  • Inspect coated products for quality, color consistency, thickness, and defects before final approval.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of powder coating equipment, spray guns, and work areas.
  • Maintain inventory of coating materials and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe
  • handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with other production duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of previous experience in powder coating, painting, manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with powder coating equipment, spray techniques, and curing processes.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications, and production schedules.
  • Ability to handle physical workload and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
