The (USA) Manager, Contracting, supports contract negotiations within Health & Wellness that are aligned with our strategic business objectives. This role involves collaborating with business teams, stakeholders and Legal to develop contracts and assess negotiation outcomes that align with Health & Wellness and enterprise standards. The manager oversees reporting initiatives, analyzes key performance indicators, and drives continuous improvement in contract language and related outcomes while upholding company policies, ethics, and standards to support organizational success. By fostering strong stakeholder relationships and managing complex contract projects, this position contributes to operational efficiency and financial goals.
About the team:
The Health & Wellness Contracting team integrates business strategy, process management, and legal compliance to manage key agreements supporting Walmart's Health & Wellness initiatives. This team ensures contracts align with company goals, comply with regulations, and enhance operational efficiency. Focused on integrity, process excellence, and continuous improvement, the team collaborates across functions to drive effective contract management and risk awareness. Members apply strong organizational skills and expertise in technical writing and contract drafting to support strategic initiatives that advance business objectives while maintaining high standards of compliance and performance.
What you'll do:
  • Manage contract quality by collaborating with Health & Wellness stakeholders and Legal to assess business outcomes.
  • Report project initiatives and timely communicate results to senior management.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing issues proactively to support business continuity.
  • Analyze contracts and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and/or process improvements.
  • Lead strategic initiatives by evaluating impacts and supporting plans to enhance vendor relationships and outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
